PikCasa. The art of HOME Photography

Hi, I'm Denny MacDonald. I am the owner/photographer at PikCasa Photography, LLC.
Early on in my real estate career of 20 years, I attended a professional photography presentation and I was hooked. From then on I have always hired a professional to take pictures of my listings. Over the years there was never a shortage of complaints from buyers we worked with about the prevalence of "dreadful" pictures they'd see on listings.
Don't be "That Agent"!
Now, I have always been somewhat of a shutterbug, always looking for that perfect shot, and found I really had a knack for it. Having hired a handful of photographers over the years we settled on one who shared my professionalism, work ethic, and attention to detail. It turned out that my love of photography and marketing skills created a natural fit and it made perfect sense to work toward eventually fulfilling my dream. Hence, PikCasa Photography, LLC was born to bring "the art of home photography" to other real estate professionals helping them enhance their professional image in the marketplace.
I consider taking professional photos of homes to be an art form. So much so, that my slogan is The Art of HOME Photography. In fact, each of my photo packages are named after famous painters.
Great photos are the result of proper lighting, exposure, and equally important is composition. Knowing what to shoot and what angles are key differentiators in what I have to offer. The most important component in any photograph is "behind the camera", inside the photographer's mind, that is what makes it ART!
I utilize some of the best equipment available. My camera is a Canon EOS 5D Mark II with high end luxury lenses, a Canon 14mm Wide angle lens, Canon 16-35mm wide angle/zoom, and a Sigma 28-300mm Telephoto. For Drone, I use a DJI Air 3, and for video tours I use a gimbal stabilizing camera. This great equipment is great for getting the best out of available lighting for the best exposure, even the best equipment can't help with Composition, that is what to shoot, at what angle, etc. That's where my years of marketing and selling real estate really come into play knowing how to present to online viewers to keep them engaged.
Proper preparation of the home is very important, in fact I have a PikCasa Photography Photo Shoot Checklist that you can send to your clients prior to photo day.
Professionally edited photos are proven to garner higher closing prices and halve the days on market - thus saving your client many extra weeks of expenses-which in turn, drives a referral legacy.
